[Update 16 Sep 2022] Touted as the “first sneaker that Nike developed during the pandemic”, from initial conceptualization to end product, the Nike Air Max Scorpion “Phantom” was created in just 18 months by the Nike design team, using 3D VR technology and machine learning amongst other innovative techniques. This latest Air Max model  is set to make its grand appearance on 5 October via SNKRS.

[Update 9 Jun 2022] New on-feet images and lifestyle shots have surfaced for this disruptive Air Max Scorpion! Fresh details are revealed through the close ups provided by @knowing_kicks, such as Nike’s logo being branded in dotted embossing on the heel tabs. The expected release date is somewhere in September 2022 but no official details have been sound out by Nike. As we wait on, keep scrolling for closer looks at this unique silhouette.

Nike’s new model “Air Max Scorpion” is scheduled to be released in 2022!

The year 2022 is going to be a very exciting year for sneaker freaks. There are many big events coming up, such as the 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1, the 35th anniversary of the Air Max 1, and the 25th anniversary of the Air Max 97. It was also leaked that a new model will be added to the “Air Max series”. Here, we introduce the details of the new Air Max “Air Max Scorpion” that will be released.

The upper is constructed with sail-colored flyknit material and is equipped with a large bubble air unit reminiscent of Nike VaporMax. A stitched Swoosh is prominently featured in black. Such design choices lend the silhouette a voluminous and futuristic look. The stacked nature of the sole will also give the wearer an extra boost in height, likely up to 2 centimetres.
