In line with Pride Month, Nike has released more information on their BE TRUE campaign. Accompanying the BE TRUE versions of the Nike Dunk Low and Cortez is the Oneonta Sandal.

As per Pride Month customs, the Nike Oneonta Be True Sandal is dressed in colour and gradients. The lateral pull strap in pastel pink has “BE TRUE” branding embroidered in purple thread. The heel accompanies this thread with a purple strap of its own. The bungee cord attached to it ensures that the sandal is a comfortable and snug fit for all types of feet.  Grind rubber makes up the sole while the plush cushioning has a paint-speckled design, subtly including the rainbow element.

In a release, Nike reveals that their advocacy extends beyond their product:

Since 2019, NIKE, Inc. has provided $2.7 million in support of LGBTQIA2S+ causes to advance inclusion and celebrate the passion of sport by all athletes. These organizations include nonprofit leaders in the transgender equality and sports space including Athlete Ally, the Out Foundation, the GenderCool Project, LGBT SportSafe and GLSEN.
