QUICK LOOK:
Where to buy the Nike Air Kukini “Glitch”
Images of the Nike Air Kukini “Glitch”
“Glitch” is one of many trippy colourways to spring from the minds of Nike’s designers, who are known to experiment with wild colours, themes and textures. The recently-launched Nike Air Huarache “Glitch” focused on digital themes, using blurred computer text and images overlaid with LED screen-like glitch patterns. On the other hand, the Nike Air Kukini “Glitch” omits the digital theming. Instead, it focuses on the colours and patterns created by a “glitch”, scattering pixelated red, green, blue, yellow and purple across the canvas upper. Besides the upper, there’s many other “glitchy” elements to the design, such as the pixellated Nike logo on the insole. A distorted Nike brand and swoosh also show up, similarly to the Air Huarache.
The Air Kukini’s wacky design doesn’t do much to calm down the noisy colourway. The rubber “web” that envelops the shoe’s upper splits up the “Glitch” with a translucent milky white, connecting to black leather highlights by passing through loops in the material. Finally, a simple sail midsole contains the Max Air unit, rounding out the Air Kukini’s design. The Nike Air Kukini “Glitch” will release sometime in 2022 on Nike.com and select retailers, so stay tuned for more updates.
