The Nike Air Force 1 is an iconic design that has secured Nike’s position in the footwear roster of athleisure enthusiasts and sneakerheads alike. In celebration of the model’s 40th anniversary, the brand is set to add a new colorway to its Nike Air Force 1 Lows family. The unofficial name for this release is the “82” theme, a nod to the year that the sneaker silhouette first surfaced.
The upper is dominated by an off-white cream and a double Swoosh. This layered stacking features a white leather Swoosh over a rusty-brown suede one, creating a 3D effect that has appeared in previous editions of Nike Air Force 1 Lows. ’82’ branding is featured on the tongues while Nike’s pinwheel logo is located on the insole.
The heel is also embroidered with Nike in non-standard font, giving visual interest to an otherwise staple white. Nike’s strive towards eco-consciousness surfaces in this Nike Air Force 1 Low’s sole, which is made of Grind rubber — a material composed of manufacturing scrap and recycled shoes.
