The youthful BAPY, a secondary line of BAPE, has brought their youthful vibrance to BAPE’s iconic line of footwear. Namely, a palette of summery mint greens and sprightly powder pinks have freshened up the BAPE STA™ and BAPE SK8 STA. As part of their Spring/Summer 2022 collection, this is their first iteration of BAPE’s signature sneakers for those with an adventurous, fun-loving spirit.

Three sneaker designs are included in this release:

1. BAPE STA™ By BAPY®

Retaining the silhouette and the prominent star-shaped logo, the hip-hop quality of the BAPE STA™ takes on a spirited character with pastel pink laces, lining and tongue. The BAPE logo on the tongue, insole and heel are in a striking navy blue — a spunky contrast to the pink and white that characterises this new design. A star charm in the same bold blue rests on the laces while BAPY leaves their signature stitched to the shoe’s heel.

2. BAPE® SK8 STA ‘MINTY GREEN’ By BAPY

The BAPE® SK8 STA takes on a fresh, sporty feel with a green mesh that envelops the quarter and toebox. This retro rendition sees shoe’s palette shift into a minty green complemented with bouts of pastel pink. The laces take on a deeper, vivid green that centres the otherwise soft design. A playful addition is the bedazzled BAPY logo and star charms that are attached to the larger STA logo, boosting your every step with a touch of sparkle.

3. BAPE® SK8 STA ‘SAND WASH’ By BAPY

In a more neutral approach, the “Sand Wash” iteration of the BAPE® SK8 STA enjoys a wash of earth tones. It is by no means dull, though. The sole is graced with a star-speckled mint green while a soft pink trims the toebox and lines the insole. The pop of summer-ready green is also present in the star-shaped lace charm, which rests on cream laces. This is undoubtedly a contender for anyone’s “everyday sneaker”.
