Nike is bringing back its once highly sought after flyknit racer model, but not in the way you would think. Instead of retro-ing the entire line, Nike has instead brought the racer back in a modern light. The Air Max Flyknit Racer seeks to pair the former flyknit racer model’s upper with cushioning reminiscent of the Air Max Pre-Day model, striking a balance between old and new. Plus, they’ve added what looks to be a leather heel cup to the silhouette.

The sneaker here appears in the ‘Oreo’ colourway, one of the more coveted colorways of the racer back in its hey-day. In time, we expect to also see a release of a multicolour variant that would no doubt further spark interest in this new model.

However, there have not been any firm launch details given by Nike — but we expect a date to appear sometime this summer.  Below are relevant images of the soon-to-come sneaker.
