Named after the Hawaiian word “Kukini,” meaning “runner,” the Air Kukini made its debut in 2000. The slip-on style upper is wrapped in a stretchy material, and the fitting is reinforced with resin parts stretched in a spider-like pattern. The heel is equipped with a visible air system, and the ambitious design and athlete-centered philosophy of the “ALPHA PROJECT” created a new trend in the sneaker culture of the 2000s.
