In his first year in the major league, and he demonstrating his overwhelming ability such as stole 29 bases, the most in the league, batted .297, and winning the Rookie of the Year award, which was established that year. But his debut was not a glamorous one. After the war, the atmosphere of racial discrimination remained strong, and the he had been playing at major league with oppose by racists. So Jackie Robinson’s debut in the major leagues was truly the hope and aspiration of minorities who had dreamed of making their MLB debut.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the great Jackie Robinson’s debut, and a pair of shoes to honor this anniversary has leaked. The upper is colored in blue and sail, and the number 42, his back number, is engraved on the heel. The upper and insole are embossed with his words, “I’m not concerned with your liking or disliking me All I ask is that you respect me as a human being.” The phrase is printed on this shoe, and that design makes this special shoe more.
